Overdrive is an original sci-fi comic series created by Eli Nicolosi, centered on identity, power, and survival after escape.
The story follows a young man known as Overdrive and his childlike companion, Shortround, who flee a brutal super soldier program tied to a hidden galactic empire known as The Continuum. After crash-landing on Earth, they quickly realize they didn’t arrive alone.
What begins as a fight for survival quickly escalates into something far greater, as powerful forces converge and the truth behind their origins begins to unfold.
What is Overdrive?
Overdrive is a character-driven sci-fi story that blends action, emotion, and deeper themes of loneliness, purpose, and redemption.
At its core, the series explores what it means to be human when everything that defined you was engineered, controlled, or taken away.
As the story progresses, new allies and enemies emerge, including other super soldiers with their own motivations, traumas, and agendas. The looming threat of The Continuum grows stronger, revealing a larger conflict that extends far beyond Earth.
